A dataset is an instance of a backup of your Xero records, which Control-C typically generates daily. Sometimes also referred to as a ‘backupset’. A dataset may be a full backup or an incremental, depending on whether the dataset is the first backup or subsequent backup. Control-C hand off either an incremental or synthetic full when a user chooses to download a copy of their dataset. The dataset includes the Accounting Data and the related Attachment files.
